Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside – mild winds, fairly clear skies
It feels like I’ve been way too busy the last few days. Between driving G. back home on Tuesday (a total journey time of 2 hours 20 minutes, including 10 minutes for a toilet break at Hartshead Moor motorway services), feeling shattered most of Wednesday & Thursday, it’s been one of “those” weeks.
It’s not that I don’t mind driving G. all the way home again, but it’s a bit much when it leaves you feeling exhausted during a period when you really want to be productive because you have five Amstrad CPC 464’s to repair/clean & sell, a letter of complaint to write for a friend and be getting on with working on marketing for a website you manage.
Anyway, today feels like I’ve been very unproductive; I drove pretty much all the way to my storage unit to retrieve some books before I realised I’d left the key to the unit at home and therefore had to drive back home before making the return journey to complete what I set out to do in the first place. Other than that, I have done – as I often and rather colloquially say – naff all.
I realise, however, listening to Tim Ferriss’ podcast The Tim Ferriss’ Show featuring Seth Godin and very quickly realised that I am, unfortunately, mine own worst enemy and in need of some self-motivation.
Update, 21:17: It’s later in the day now and I’m rather tired. Thank goodness it’s Friday.
